Rookie Luca Nierychlo is once again in the top ten at the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 in Jauer

The second-to-last round of the ADAC MX Junior Cup 85 took place in Jauer in East Saxony. Luca Nierychlo, one of the rookies this season, wanted to continue working on his goal for the season, a top ten placement in the overall ranking.
The race Saturday began as usual with a warm-up and then time practice began in the early afternoon. The lap times were very close to each other, so there were constant position changes. Luca was able to secure 15th place in qualifying and was looking forward to the first race.

The eleven-year-old got off to a good start and was already in seventh place after the first lap. As the race continued, Luca was able to push past Neo Nindelt. The ADAC Hessen-Thüringen sponsored rider was able to confidently finish in a strong sixth place and was very happy about his top ten result again.

On Sunday morning there was a 15-minute warm-up where Luca was able to directly build on his performance from the previous day with eleventh place. During the warm-up, Luca tried out many different lines on the track to find new overtaking opportunities for the upcoming second race.

Shortly before midday the time had come. The Junior Cup 85 class rolled up to the starting gate for the second race. Luca got out well again, but had to fight against the rising front wheel in the middle of the start straight and was in around 15th place after the first corner.
The man from Central Hesse used the first lap to work his way forward and was already in twelfth place after the first lap. With very high intensity and high speed, Luca fought his way up to seventh place. But he bit his teeth into Timo Heuver because there was no way around the Dutchman, who won the Dutch Masters 85cc this season. Luca had to exert a lot of strength because he could no longer drive in his rhythm and this forced him to slow down a bit in the final laps. In the final phase he had to let Simon Hahn and the Austrian Moritz Ernecker pass. Luca crossed the finish line in ninth place and was still more than satisfied.

Luca: “I’m super happy to have achieved two top results again. The pace and intensity in the Junior Cup is incredibly high, which makes me even more pleased with my achievements.”

With sixth and ninth place in the races, it was enough to achieve seventh place in the daily ranking in Jauer. As far as the overall ranking is concerned, Luca was now able to move up to eighth place. He is therefore fully on track to achieve his season goal of achieving a top ten placement in the first Junior Cup season.

It continues next Saturday at the DM85 in Teutschenthal, where Luca wants to once again assert his championship lead. There will also be a live stream via YouTube so that those interested can follow the races live.
