Luca Nierychlo reaches the podium in Loket – EMX65 final

The young talent from Central Hesse went to the grand finale of the European 65cc Championship
to the Czech Loket. One of the most beautiful motocross tracks in Europe should be the scene of an
eventful racing weekend.
In the final of the EMX65, the best riders from the two semi-final races meet.
After Luca had already won the championship title in the Central Europe Zone, he was able to do that too
Semi-final in Lithuania, where the best riders from the North East Zone were added
decide. The Croatian Roko Ivandic won the semi-finals in Romania
South East and South West zones met. So the strongest riders from Europe in Loket compete against each other to crown the 2024 European 65cc champion.

Luca was able to draw attention to himself on Saturday with his fast lap times.
In qualifying he set the fourth best time and was absolutely happy with it.

In the afternoon we went to the starting gate for the first race in front of a gigantic backdrop.
The young German placed his 65cc Husqvarna relatively far inside to make it as short as possible
to the first corner. The plan worked because Nierychlo reacted perfectly and worked
Second place in the first lap. The two semi-final winners Ivandic and Nierychlo offered a tough battle for the lead throughout the entire race, both riding next to each other several times,
but there was no way around for Nierychlo. In the last two laps the pilot of the
Dutch AK Bouw-Hutten Metaal Junior team had problems during lapping and
finished in a very strong second place. The Croatian Roko Ivandic won ahead
Luca Nierychlo and the Estonian Theo Kolts in the first race.

The second race took place on Sunday morning. There are now thousands Motocross enthusiasts gathered at the side of the traditional course in Loket. The ADAC Hessen-Thüringen sponsored rider didn’t come out of the starting gate perfectly and was got wedged at the beginning of the first corner and fell. The Central Hesse started in 38th place a catch-up worth seeing. The numerous German fans cheered Luca on lap after lap, so that he was able to work his way up to a sensational fourth place. The race was won again to Roko Ivandic who secured the European Championship title. Theo Kolts from Estonia came second. Third place went to Elias Eder from Austria. With second and fourth places in the races it made it Luca Nierychlo achieved a strong third place overall. Due to the impressive performance in the young German showed his full potential in both races and was rewarded with the Bronze medal for his tireless fighting spirit.

With many great successes, Luca can now complete his 65cc time and now move to the 85cc class. In the 85cc German Championship he leads the overall standings after five
from eight events and will do everything in its power to continue to achieve good results.
